# September 2026

> What changed in Swiss HR Easy in September 2026.

September let employees keep their own master data up to date and opened Swiss HR Easy to AI assistants, under the same permissions as the web app.

## Highlights

* **Employees check and correct their own master data.** A new *My master data* page in Mein Portal shows what is on file. Employees propose changes to their name, address, phone, private e-mail, emergency contact, children, work permit, salary account or ID documents, with a scan attached where needed. HR approves or rejects each request in a review queue, and the employee is told the outcome.
* **Warnings before permits and ID documents expire.** HR and the employee are warned 90, 60 and 30 days before a *Bewilligung* or identity document expires, and once more after it lapses. Each warning is sent only once.
* **Connect an AI assistant.** Swiss HR Easy can act as an MCP connector, so an assistant such as Claude can answer "how many vacation days do I have left?" or "which applications moved to interview this week?" against your installation. It uses the same role checks as the web app, every call is logged, and every change has to be confirmed in a separate step. The connector is off by default and needs Microsoft sign-in. See [Connecting an AI assistant](https://docs.hr-easy.nlead.ch/guides/ai/ai-assistants.md).

## Also new

* Legacy Word `.doc` files in an applicant dossier open inline as a PDF preview instead of only offering a download.
* Add a one-off task to an onboarding plan that is already running.
* Default onboarding tasks are now in German, English and French, with new steps for the BVG registration and the Famly account.
* A clock session that runs past midnight is booked as one entry per day, with the break split across the days.
* The bulk AI-summary run moved into an *Actions* menu on the applications list.

## Fixes and polish

* **Employees no longer lose the ability to save after a day.** Employees and applicants stay signed in for 30 days, but from the second day on uploads, change requests, time confirmations and expense submissions failed. The security cookie now lasts as long as the sign-in.
* Notifications reach only people who are allowed to see the data behind them. Permit-expiry and Arbeitszeugnis notifications go to HR staff, not to every administrator. If an HR person currently holds the ADMIN role, give them HR\_STAFF so they keep receiving these.
* Permit warnings name the permit category in words ("Permit B") instead of an internal code.
* Documents filed in the Personaldossier count as provided in Pre-Boarding.
* Mail delivery errors in recruiting show a clear message instead of a raw server error.
* The portal's top navigation no longer gets cut off on narrow screens.
* Under the hood: Next.js 16, React 19 and Prisma 7, plus alerts on slow database queries and response times.
