Swiss HR Easy is not an international HR product with a Swiss localisation layer. The Swiss rules are in the model.
These pages describe what the platform implements and why. They are not legal advice. Collective agreements (GAV/CCT), cantonal rules and individual contracts can all impose stricter obligations than the federal minimum. Where they do, configure the stricter rule.

Where each obligation lives

Working time

ArG Art. 9, 12 and 15 — weekly maxima, annual overtime caps, mandatory breaks.

Vacation and leave

OR Art. 329a — four weeks minimum, five under 20.

Probation

OR Art. 335b — three months maximum, and how the platform enforces it.

Sick pay

OR Art. 324a and the Berner, Basler and Zürcher scales.

Stellenmeldepflicht

AIG Art. 21a — reporting, the embargo, and the feedback obligation.

Payroll declarations

AHV, QST, BVG, EMA, Lohnausweis and the ELM Jahresmeldung.

Data protection

nDSG, retention, DSAR, and data residency.

Cantonal variation is the norm

Twenty-six cantons, and they differ in ways that matter operationally:
  • Public holidays — one federal holiday, the rest cantonal.
  • Sick-pay scales — three regional scales applied by different courts.
  • Quellensteuer — cantonal tariffs and settlement procedures.
  • School holidays — set per canton and often per municipality.
Nothing cantonal is hard-coded. Every one of these is configuration, with a default derived from the employee’s Standort.

Currency and formats

CHF throughout, with amounts held in decimal and rounded to rappen only at the boundary. Dates and numbers are formatted per locale — which matters on payroll exports, where a mis-parsed separator is a mis-stated amount.

Data residency

Single-tenant deployment in Azure Switzerland North for Swiss customers, with encryption at rest and in transit and application-layer encryption for credentials and tokens. See Data protection.
